Sending an SMS message to a mobile phone is sometimes the only alternative to email and gets to the person whether they are behind a computer or not. Obviously this function is reserved for short messages, however these can often be extremely useful if an engineer is off-site or a member of staff is in a meeting.  

When a message is sent, the message is sent so it originates automatically from the user's mobile phone and then the person receiving the message replies they will be able to automatically send the message back to the sender's mobile

Each user will automatically be able to send to the staff list (who have mobile phones stored under their account) as well as being able to send to a personalised list of contacts that they have entered in their personal address book from within Intrabench.

It's also possible to send to custom mobile numbers as well as change the origin that the SMS comes from in case you wish to have a company name instead of your own mobile number. Bulk SMS is also available by searching for companies and then bulk sending SMS to the companies. A list will be shown which details who will be getting the SMS messages which can be selected from.
